Can Indian Students Study MBBS Abroad without NEET
According to the National Medical Commission’s standards, it’s mandatory for the MBBS Abroad aspirants to score minimum qualifying marks in their NEET UG exam for studying MBBS Abroad as well as MBBS in India. Without scoring at least qualifying marks in NEET entrance exam, students will not be able to enroll themselves for MBBS abroad admissions in top medical universities in foreign countries.
Well, NEET (National
Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test) is an entrance exam for 12th passed medical
aspirants who want to study MBBS either in India or abroad. But for studying
MBBS in India, Indian medical aspirants have to qualify this exam with high
score of 550+ marks so that they can take successful MBBS admissions in
government colleges in India. Even if you want MBBS admissions in private
college in India or medical universities abroad then also you need to score
minimum marks in the NEET UG exam.
But, what if students didn't
qualify for the NEET exam or want to study MBBS abroad without NEET! Let's
discuss these queries & doubts here:
Study MBBS Abroad without NEET
When we discuss MBBS abroad
admissions then medical aspirants in India need to know that it is not possible
for admissions in top NMC approved abroad medical universities, even in India
too, especially for students who want to come back to India for their
practice/work? So, it’s necessary for the medical aspirants to secure at least
qualifying marks in the NEET UG exam so that they can study MBBS abroad in top
NMC approved medical universities in foreign countries.
Students can take admission in medical
universities abroad without NEET, but then they will not be able to practice in
India as their degree will not be valid in India. The only option they will
have is to practice in the country where they pursued MBBS or other country
where their degree is acceptable.
Can Last Year NEET droppers apply to MBBS Abroad next year?
There's still hope for the medical
aspirants in India who dropped out last year & are planning to take MBBS
abroad admissions in top NMC approved medical universities next year in winter
intake. As NEET UG score is valid for 3 years for MBBS abroad admission,
students who have qualifying score in NEET last year can apply for MBBS abroad
this year.
Is NEET Score valid for 3 years?
Yes! NEET score is valid for 3
years for MBBS abroad only and not for MBBS in India. So, students can take
admission in medical universities abroad having qualifying NEET score of any
last 2 years. But for MBBS admission in India, NEET score is valid for 1 year
only.
Should Medical Aspirants wait for Next Year if they fail in the NEET in
current year?
Well, if medical aspirants fail in
the NEET exam of current year then automatically they will not be able to take
MBBS abroad admissions in top NMC approved Medical Universities in foreign
countries or in India, resulting in a gap in the medical education along with a
negative impact on the student's mind too. So, it is better they wait for NEET
exam next year, qualify it and then only go for MBBS abroad admission. If they
were repeating NEET exam this year and have qualified it last year then they
can get admission in foreign medical universities based on their last score of
NEET UG exam.
